About Atlanta Braille Volunteers:
Atlanta Braille Volunteers, formed in November 1968, is a chartered
non-profit 501c3 organization in the State of Georgia. We are
co-sponsors and scorers/judges of the annual
Braille Challenge, an event held in January of each year at the
Georgia Academy for the Blind in Macon, Georgia.
The Perkins Brailler was used for many years for
creating braille documents. Today, organizations like the Atlanta
Braille Volunteers use advanced computer programs to process large
amounts of braille.
